Dr. S. Sankaranarayan

The Omnimanifest Soul takes neither sin nor merit born of any action upon itself. But, perfect knowledge is clouded by Illusion, and thus the creatures are deluded.

Shri Purohit Swami

The Lord does not accept responsibility for any man's sin or merit. Men are deluded because in them wisdom is submerged in ignorance.

Swami Adidevananda

The all-pervading One takes away neither the sin nor the merit of any one. Knowledge is enveloped by ignorance. Creatures are thereby deluded.

Swami Gambirananda

The Omnipresent neither accepts anybody's sin nor even virtue. Knowledge remains covered by ignorance. Thereby the creatures become deluded.

Swami Sivananda

The Lord accepts neither the demerit nor even the merit of any; knowledge is enveloped by ignorance, thereby beings are deluded.
