1.47 एवमुक्त्वाऽर्जुनः संख्ये रथोपस्थ उपाविशत्। विसृज्य सशरं चापं शोकसंविग्नमानसः

Sanjaya said, Having said this much about the battle, and letting his bow and arrows fall, Arjuna sat down on the back of the chariot, his mind agitated with grief.

Shri Purohit Swami

Sanjaya said: "Having spoken thus, in the midst of the armies, Arjuna sank on the seat of the chariot, casting away his bow and arrow; heartbroken with grief."

Swami Adidevananda

Sanjaya said : Having spoken thus on the battle-field, Arjuna threw aside his how and arrows and sat down on the seat of the chariot, his heart overwhelmed with grief.

Swami Gambirananda

Having said so, Arjuna, with a mind afflicted with sorrow, sat down on the chariot in the midst of the battle, casting aside the bow along with the arrows.
